My Story

Hello and thank you for considering Dollface for your beauty needs and desires.  I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.  My full name is Felicia Stone. 

I was born and raised in New Buffalo, a small resort town in Southwest Michigan which has become a “playground” for Chicagoans.   The second of three girls, I have always loved sports, people, and anything to do with cosmetics and the beauty industry.  Growing up, my aunts owned and operated a very successful beauty shop for over five decades in my hometown.  I spent countless days as a very young girl at the beauty shop soaking up the magical atmosphere.  I found the salon fascinating and I was enamored with not only the craft but the socialization which occurred within the walls of the salon.

Nearly thirty years ago, I became an RN.  While nursing has served me well, I am now ready for a change in my professional life.  For many years I have dreamed of opening a shop such as Dollface.  With lots of persistence and the support of my husband and adult daughter, Dollface has transitioned from a dream to a reality.

Simultaneously while working as an RN, I was employed by Merle Norman Cosmetics for over twenty-five years as a Makeup Artist.  It was at Merle Norman that I formalized my beauty knowledge and training as well as techniques. I have provided makeup sessions for hundreds of brides. 

With my extensive background in healthcare and infection-control, you can take comfort in knowing that your spa service here will be rendered in the most hygienic of settings.  

You have my solemn promise that your experience at Dollface will be filled with compassion and tender-care. 

For clients with mobility issues who might have difficulty at other salons, my hydraulic table is somewhat handicap-accessible and lowers to just nineteen inches off the ground making it very easy for my mobility-challenged clients to enjoy my services.  

Additionally, as an RN and an ample woman myself, I extend a special invitation to women and men of all sizes.  My table easily accommodates clients with some extra pounds.  I work in a judgment-free setting and I would be honored to have everyone as a client.  

I reside in Wimauma, FL.  My hobbies include, anything to do with the beauty industry, University of Michigan sports, and rescuing dogs.  I have a very happy home that I share with my husband, Chuck, and my daughter, Cassie, and our four beautiful doll-pups, Willow, Daisy, Annie, and Maizey.
